Job description

This job contributes to Starbucks success by performing a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Updates relevant invoices and ledger entries in ACCPAC accounting system in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules.
  • Collects, compiles, verifies and analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports and accounting statements (profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings) to provide senior management with accurate and timely financial decision‑making information.
  • Records and maintains accurate accounting records for the cost and accumulated depreciation of Fixed Assets.
  • Reconciles creditor statements to ensure outstanding balances are accurate before payment.
  • Conducts store audits, verifies account‑related documents, and performs physical Fixed Asset sightings.
  • Provides technical accounting advice within the team and at the store level.
Qualifications
  • At least a Diploma in Accounting/Finance or a professional certificate.

  • Proficiency in a third language (Mandarin) is considered an advantage.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized with good time‑management skills.
