This is Executive, Accounts (General Ledger & Tax Support) position based in Malaysia to support Mercedes-Benz Financial Services companies in Singapore. Responsible for maintaining accurate General Ledger accounts and supporting tax compliance activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Ledger (GL):

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy in General Ledger accounts.

  • Work with team in Shared Service Center and check accounting operations and entries and ensure proper controls and documentation.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.

2. Tax Support:

  • Assist in tax computation and submission (corporate tax, GST, withholding tax).

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.

  • Liaise with tax agents and auditors for statutory requirements.

  • Maintain proper tax records and documentation.

3. Other Duties:

  • Participate in audits and provide necessary schedules

  • Support process improvements and system enhancements.

  • Perform other related accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Working Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in GL and/or tax.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in SAP and D365 systems.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
