Job summary

DONCE SDN BHD is seeking a Production File Designer to translate creative concepts into precise 3D production files and technical drawings for wedding event designs. You will collaborate with event designers, project coordinators, and fabricators to ensure practical, fabrication-ready designs within project timelines.

The role requires proficiency in Blender and/or SketchUp, solid Illustrator skills, and a strong eye for measurements and spatial planning.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, 3D Design, Spatial Design.
• Portfolio showcasing 3D modelling and technical drawings is required.
• Strong proficiency in Blender and/or SketchUp.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator for production artwork and technical files.
• Strong understanding of measurements, scale, dimensions, proportion, and spatial planning.

Responsibilities

• Study event spaces, site measurements, floor plans, venue layouts, and design concepts.
• Create accurate 3D models and production files for event structures, installations, backdrops, stages, arches, panels, furniture, displays, and other décor elements.
• Develop technical drawings with accurate dimensions, measurements, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Prepare production-ready files and drawings for the fabrication team.
• Ensure designs are structurally practical and suitable for fabrication and installation.
• Work with fabricators to understand material requirements, construction methods, joints, supports, and finishing.
• Review and revise drawings based on fabrication feedback or changes to the event design.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure production files are completed according to project deadlines.

We are looking for a Production File Designer to join our wedding event design and production team. This role focuses on translating creative concepts into accurate technical drawings, structural designs, measurements, and 3D production files that can be handed over to our fabrication and installation teams for execution. You will work closely with our event designers, project coordinators, and fabricators to ensure that every design is practical, accurate, fabrication-ready, and achievable within the project timeline.

Key responsibilities

Study event spaces, site measurements, floor plans, venue layouts, and design concepts

Conduct or assist with site measurements and site surveys when required

Translate creative concepts and moodboards into practical 3D structures and production designs

Create accurate 3D models and production files for event structures, installations, backdrops, stages, arches, panels, furniture, displays, and other décor elements

Develop technical drawings with accurate dimensions, measurements, elevations, sections, and construction details

Prepare production-ready files and drawings for the fabrication team

Ensure designs are structurally practical and suitable for fabrication and installation

Work with fabricators to understand material requirements, construction methods, joints, supports, and finishing

Review and revise drawings based on fabrication feedback or changes to the event design

About you

Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, 3D Design, Spatial Design, or a related field

Strong proficiency in Blender and/or SketchUp

Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator for preparing production artwork and technical files

Strong understanding of measurements, scale, dimensions, proportion, and spatial planning

Able to read and understand floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings

Able to create accurate 3D models based on measurements and design references

Good understanding of basic construction, fabrication, materials, and structural requirements

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
