Job summary

A leading metal manufacturer in Malaysia seeks a candidate to oversee environmental, safety, and health (ESH) compliance. The successful applicant will conduct routine inspections, investigate accidents, and ensure adherence to ISO Management System standards. Responsibilities include reviewing ESH policies, maintaining documentation, and liaising with regulatory bodies. This position is crucial for establishing effective ESH practices within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESH compliance and management.
• Knowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
• Ability to investigate accidents and analyze root causes.

Responsibilities

• Review ESH management and operational activities for ongoing adequacy and compliance.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure environmental, safety, and health practices.
• Investigate ESH incidents and recommend improvements.
• Maintain and document the ISO Management System.

Job description

Regulary review ESH management & operational activities to establish their on-going adequacy,

suitability & effectiveness & ensure its compliance to all applicable laws & other requirements.

Conduct routine surveillances and inspection to establish on-going compliance with environment,

safety & health practices in the working place.

Investigate into ESH accidents or incidences, analyze root causes & make recommendations

for improvement.

Ensure all machinery, facilities, utilities, fire fighting equipment & pollution control equipment

are operated/maintained as per regulatory bodies requirements.

Recommend, develop & review documented policies & procedures to reflect current ESH

processes & good practices by all departments in the company.

Assist in the development and execution of ESH Management System.

Maintain ISO Management System (ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001).

Maintain an effective & updated documentation system for policies & procedures that affect

the ISO Management System.

Liaise with regulatory bodies (DOE, DOSH, BOMBA etc.) and certification bodies for
