The role involves overseeing the D365 BC implementation process while ensuring all financial and operational requirements are met. You will be responsible for translating business needs into effective system configurations, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality rollouts. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in ERP implementations and a strong background in finance and compliance, along with excellent stakeholder management skills.
As an ERP Implementation Consultant, you will own the D365 BC implementation process, ensuring Finexus’ financial, operational, and compliance requirements are fully met. You act as the bridge between internal stakeholders and the external vendor, making critical decisions, validating configurations, and ensuring every system change is accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency, reporting reliability, and the organization’s ability to scale confidently.
This is a strategic, hands‑on, and highly accountable role. You will define, validate, and optimize ERP configurations, lead cross‑functional discussions, and challenge vendor and internal assumptions where necessary. While execution is part of your remit, your primary value lies in thinking critically, making informed decisions, and owning the end‑to‑end process. You will also mentor stakeholders, facilitate adoption, and ensure the system delivers measurable business outcomes.
Own ERP implementation decisions, ensuring alignment with business priorities, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Challenge vendor and internal stakeholder recommendations when necessary, making evidence‑based decisions to safeguard Finexus’ interests and prevent unnecessary complexity or cost.
Advise leadership on risks, limitations, and improvement opportunities in system design and processes.
Translate Finance, Accounts, and Operations requirements into robust functional specifications.
Define and validate configurations such as chart of accounts, dimensions, workflows, and reporting structures.
Ensure business rules, compliance, and reporting needs are embedded in the system design efficiently.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal Finance, Operations, and IT teams.
Align stakeholders on ERP standards, configuration decisions, and rollout priorities.
Proactively challenge requests for unnecessary customizations or deviations from best practices, ensuring cost‑effective, scalable solutions.
Facilitate decision‑making and consensus while maintaining project timelines, quality, and adoption goals.
Lead UAT and configuration validation with a focus on accuracy, risk mitigation, and operational readiness.
Identify gaps, discrepancies, or misalignments and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and vendors.
Ensure outputs (reports, dashboards, workflows) meet business expectations and compliance requirements.
Act as the internal ERP authority for Finance, Operations, and IT.
Train users and document processes to build long‑term internal ERP ownership and capability.
Stay current on D365 BC updates and functionalities, advising management on relevant enhancements.
Recommend system and process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and adoption.
