Job summary

Sandisk is hiring an Equipment Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance Technician (SMT) in Batu Kawan, Malaysia. The role is full-time and focuses on keeping the semiconductor production line running smoothly through preventive maintenance, quick trouble-shooting, and operator training.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, a Diploma, and familiarity with common office software. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with visa- or relocation-supported pathways as needed.

Responsibilities

• Do shift online support for continuous production line and ensure equipment in good performance to meet the goals on equipment uptime, yield, and cost, utilization and cycle time.
• Report the online machine status and issue to EE Leader and Engineer.
• Perform final test product conversion and do 6S discipline on the line.
• Support tech team to meet goals on machine downtime, utilization, MTBA/MTBF.
• Provide training to operators on machine operation to raise skill levels.
• Distribute spare parts, replacements, and maintain records for tracking.
• Maintain regular attendance aligned with the company's work schedule.

• This role requires reliable presence to support operational and team objectives. Employees are expected to maintain regular attendance aligned with the company's work schedule.

Required:

• Diploma, Major in Mechanical Engineering will be preferred.

Preferred:

• Minimum 2 years working experience in semiconductor manufacturing and familiar with maintenance and troubleshooting of AssyEquipment.
• Familiar with Mechanical equipment and process, Familiar with machine trouble shooting and alarm handling
• Responsible for shift machine status checking and device change
• Good sense and follow up on quality issue and project
• Experience on machine and tooling Preventive Maintenance
• Have the ability for report generation, focus on machine alarm analysis and trouble shooting
• Fresh Diploma graduates are welcomed to apply

Skills:

• Good interpersonal and communication skill
