Job summary

A global provider of medical technologies is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop a preventive maintenance program and support the maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Successful candidates will have an engineering degree and 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems is essential. The role involves mentoring technicians, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with safety legislation, contributing to improved efficiency and quality.

Position Summary
  • Develop a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program for Manufacturing and Plant equipment.
  • Responsible for the internal and external audit process for preventive maintenance.
  • Review manufacturing and plant equipment condition and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment, fixtures and test equipment transferred to production floor.
  • Provide relevant training to maintenance technicians on equipment handling and troubleshooting.
  • Assist maintenance technicians in equipment troubleshooting to restore equipment to good running condition.
  • Implement effective OSH measures to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.
  • Track spare parts inventory to avoid out‑of‑stock issues.
  • Create reports such as machine parts cost and equipment downtime.
  • Review, revise, or generate necessary documentation on equipment, tooling, specifications, drawings, etc.
  • Work with Process Engineer and Quality Engineer to execute Validation protocols for facility validation, equipment validations, operation qualification validation and process qualification validations.
  • Maintain documentation for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference Frog.
  • Develop cost‑reduction improvement projects while sustaining quality and productivity.
  • Review condition and capability of manufacturing processes to produce key product specifications, equipment, fixtures and test equipment necessary for manufacture.
  • Plan and execute equipment maintenance and repairs whakap during production mode. Engage internal resources and/or suppliers for cost‑effective repairs.
  • Mentor and coach technicians on technical aspects of machines, equipment and devices.
  • Create documentation such as User Requirement Specification (URS), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronic).
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation.
  • 3–5 years in a similar capacity with manufacturing experience.
  • Experience on PLC/HMI programming or 3D CAD software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
