Job summary
Renesas Electronics Malaysia is seeking a maintenance engineer to drive plating, high pressure water jet and chemical de-flash equipment performance, reliability, and OEE targets. You will plan preventive maintenance, lead troubleshooting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, efficient operation.
The role requires hands-on mechanical/electrical expertise, with 2+ years in semiconductor equipment maintenance and a strong ability to analyze downtime and optimize processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance (wet processes preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability
- Solid understanding of equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTBC, downtime analysis)
- Good leadership and cross-functional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Drive and improve equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTBC, UDT)
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment-related issues
- Plan and optimize preventive maintenance strategies and schedules
- Monitor equipment performance trends and drive improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with production, process, and vendors to implement effective solutions
- Coach and guide technicians on technical problem-solving and best practices
