Environmental Management System (EMS) Engineer cum EHS Coordinator

Frontken Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Environmental Management System (EMS) Engineer cum EHS Coordinator to join their team in Kulim, Kedah. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the company's environmental and safety practices meet regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement. As the EMS Engineer and EHS Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining robust environmental management systems and coordinating all environmental, health and safety initiatives across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Develop, implement and monitor the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) to meet ISO 14001 standards
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement measures to mitigate environmental risks
• Coordinate the collection and analysis of environmental data to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations
• Manage the company's waste disposal and recycling programs to promote sustainable practices
• Organise and lead training sessions on environmental, health and safety topics for all employees
• Investigate and report on any environmental incidents or non-conformances, and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations
• Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental legislation and best practices, and advise the organisation accordingly

What we're looking for

• Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an environmental management or EHS coordinator role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, ISO 14001 standards and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve environmental issues
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to drive continuous improvement
• Demonstrated project management skills to coordinate and implement environmental initiatives
