Qualifications

  • Licensed Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Well-versed with OSHA 1994 act and regulations.
  • Well-versed with EQA 1974 and regulations.
  • Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies (e.g., DOSH, DOE) is an added advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and monitor company environmental, health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with government legislation, RBA, and corporate EHS requirements.
  • Drive EHS performance indicators, compliance, trends and key focused projects.
  • Act as liaison with regulatory agencies, internal and external customers regarding EHS matters.
  • Lead the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee in developing EHS initiatives.
  • Responsible for incident and accident investigations, facilitate closure of identified non-conformances effectively to eliminate root causes and report to relevant authorities timely.
  • Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from work processes (environmental aspects and health & safety hazards).
  • Perform buyoff on equipment, machinery, fixtures, layout, building safety, process safety, chemical safety, etc.
  • Coordinate noise exposure monitoring, CHRA, ergonomic and related EHS assessments; follow up on recommendations timely.
  • Ensure chemical safety and emergency response procedures are maintained and compliant with legislation.
  • Provide advice and information on matters related to environmental, health and safety.
  • Ensure internal and external parties’ feedback and concerns related to EHS are addressed.
  • Conduct EHS-related training and briefings.
  • Conduct EHS onsite inspections on a regular basis.
  • Manage EHS equipment inventory, record retention in compliance with Sanmina and local regulatory requirements.
  • May support scheduled waste management, scheduled waste monitoring and ensuring scheduled waste compliance with the legislations.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will improve the EHS performance.
  • Other duties or ad hoc programs assigned by the company.
