A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator. In this role, you will oversee safety operations, conduct site inspections, and ensure legal compliance. Job description
Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator

Act as a lead or senior coordinator, overseeing both safety operations and cross-department coordination.

Accident investigation, near miss accident, prepare detailed reports with findings and Preventive and Corrective actions.

Manage legal compliance submission (e.g. DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, REM(Energy)).

Develop and implement and monitor safety related policy and procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and carry out HIRARC.

Assist on insurance audit survey and support the implementation and maintenance of ISO management systems.

Conduct Safety Committee Meeting.

Conduct safety training for employees.

Prepare reports for management.

Develop, implement, and maintain the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for the facility.

Plan, organize, and conduct emergency drills.

Coordinate with the relevant authorities and other stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and vendors to provide document requested, obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with applicable regulation.

Occasional travel to other sites or facilities is required.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree (qualification in a related field such as Occupational Safety and Health or facilities).

3-5 years of experience in a safety-related role.

Leadership and supervisory skills to guide administrative staff.

Safety certifications are a plus.

Efficient, organised and have good interpersonal skills
