Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Malaysia SDN. BHD. seeks a detail-oriented finance-minded professional to support project controllers in maintaining dashboards, budgets and financial trackers.

The role involves reviewing PRs, validating timesheets, and assisting with monthly closings and forecasts. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, procurement and finance teams, ensuring governance and process improvements across multiple projects in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project control tools, dashboards, and financial trackers.
• Review PR requests against approved project budgets before release and escalate any exceptions.
• Review project timesheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support monthly project financial closing, reporting, reconciliations, and forecast updates.
• Assist with project cost monitoring, budget tracking, and financial analysis.
• Prepare reports and ad hoc analyses to support Project Controllers and Project Managers.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure governance compliance.
• Support continuous improvement of project control processes and reporting tools.
• Progressively manage assigned low-complexity projects and/or product and spare parts sales orders as part of professional development.
