Job description

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing EPF’s infrastructure and security architecture. The architect ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of EPF’s IT environment, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid systems. The role supports enterprise-wide initiatives by aligning infrastructure and security strategies with business objectives, enforcing architectural standards, and fostering resilience and compliance.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Implement infrastructure and security architecture analysis activities to evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities for new technologies, platforms, and EPF service models.
  • Conduct workshops on planning, evaluation, and discovery to identify infrastructure needs, security constraints, operational challenges, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and produce infrastructure and security architecture documentation and artefacts including network topology, cloud architecture views, security models, heat maps, business continuity plans, and organizational requirements.
  • Manage, oversee, or support the development of infrastructure and security architecture at the enterprise, domain, or solution level for new technology implementations or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Ensure the fitness-for-purpose of infrastructure and security architecture in addressing stakeholder needs and maintaining architectural integrity, balancing trade-offs between performance, availability, scalability, and security.
  • Recommend technological solutions or improvements to enhance infrastructure efficiency, system resilience, and cybersecurity posture in support of organizational goals.
  • Support and adhere to the Enterprise Architecture Governance Framework, ensuring alignment across infrastructure and security domains.
  • Promote the use of architecture methodologies and tools to support enterprise governance and the development of architectural artifacts.
  • Implement governance and enforcement of infrastructure and security architecture principles and standards for all IT initiatives.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with the Architecture Development Framework and relevant security policies and regulations.
  • Participate in and support the Enterprise Architecture Solution Forum (EASF) and the Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC) in accordance with the Enterprise Governance Framework.
  • Provide guidance and support in the areas of infrastructure frameworks, security processes, tools, methodologies, standards, and templates.
  • Participate in evaluating project success, identifying best practices, and capturing lessons learned.
  • Build and develop team skills in infrastructure design, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity capabilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Experience:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree with honours in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, which is recognized by the government.
  • Over ten (10) years of experience in Business, Infrastructure and Security Architecture, with a specialization in Enterprise Architecture
  • Possesses a TOGAF certification or equivalent certification in Enterprise Architecture and/or business IT analysis (highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrates expertise in business architecture, business analysis, business application technology analysis, and business process modeling, mapping, and improvement/reengineering for large enterprises
  • Experienced in developing parts of an overall IT strategic plan
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale technological environments
  • Skilled in translating business ideas into architectural concepts and logical designs
  • Experience in a management consulting environment is a strong plus
