Job description

This role is responsible for designing and managing application, data, and integration architecture across EPF’s enterprise systems. The architect ensures the integrity, scalability, and security of application ecosystems, promotes effective data governance, and supports seamless integration across platforms. The role also contributes to enterprise architecture governance and enhances team capabilities in solution design and implementation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Implement application, data, and integration architecture analysis activities to evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities for new products, services, technologies, and EPF service models.
  • Conduct workshops on planning, evaluation, and discovery to identify the needs, constraints, and challenges related to application systems, data flows, and integration points within EPF.
  • Develop and produce architecture documentation and artefacts including application landscape views, data models, integration maps, heat maps, business processes, and organizational requirements.
  • Manage, oversee, or support the development of application, data, and integration architecture at the enterprise, domain, or solution level for new technology implementations or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Ensure the fitness-for-purpose of application and data architecture in addressing stakeholder needs and maintaining architectural integrity, balancing trade-offs between performance, security, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Recommend technological solutions or improvements to enhance application performance, data accessibility, and integration efficiency in support of organizational goals.
  • Support and adhere to the Enterprise Architecture Governance Framework, ensuring alignment across application, data, and integration domains.
  • Promote the use of architecture methodologies and tools to support enterprise governance and the development of architectural artifacts.
  • Implement governance and enforcement of architecture principles and standards for all IT initiatives involving applications, data, and integrations.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with the Architecture Development Framework and relevant data governance policies.
  • Participate in and support the Enterprise Architecture Solution Forum (EASF) and the Enterprise Architecture Committee (EAC) in accordance with the Enterprise Governance Framework.
  • Provide guidance and support in the areas of application frameworks, data management processes, integration tools, methodologies, standards, and templates.
  • Participate in evaluating project success, identifying best practices, and capturing lessons learned.
  • Build and develop team skills in application design, data architecture, and integration capabilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Experience:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree with honours in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, which is recognized by the government.
  • Over ten (10) years of experience in Business and Application Architecture, with a specialization in Enterprise Architecture
  • Possesses a TOGAF certification or equivalent certification in Enterprise Architecture and/or business IT analysis (highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrates expertise in business architecture, business analysis, business application technology analysis, and business process modeling, mapping, and improvement/reengineering for large enterprises
  • Experienced in developing parts of an overall IT strategic plan
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale technological environments
  • Skilled in translating business ideas into architectural concepts and logical designs
  • Experience in a management consulting environment is a strong plus

  • Strong knowledge in business process improvements and/or re-engineering.
  • Good judgment in assessment of viable IT solutions for the business.
  • Process-oriented mind-set with sound judgment.
  • Broad knowledge of IT and technology.
  • Broad operational knowledge of related/multiple industries.

Essential Domain Skills:

  • Broad knowledge of the different business patterns and domains across multiple industries and business areas.
  • Able to identify relationships between concepts, processes, drivers, details and data.
  • Able to identify patterns/domains in complex situations and scenarios.
  • In-depth knowledge of business patterns and domains within business areas of a Financial Services industry is a strong advantage.
