Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Engineer to join the Engineering IT team in Kuala Lumpur.

You will learn and support engineering tools from multiple vendors (Hexagon, AVEVA, Bentley, Autodesk, AspenTech) used for analysis, design and 3D modeling on diverse projects. You will work under the guidance of an experienced application administrator, helping set up, configure and maintain project-specific applications, while developing strong technical and collaboration skills in

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical diploma.
• Engineering degree with 0–3 years for EPC in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of subsea engineering applications such as OLGA, OrcaFlex, Abaqus, ANSYS, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tools.
• Strong academic background and interest in engineering careers.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal English skills.
• Flexible/adaptable with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a global multicultural team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering IT Team for setup, configuration and customization of project-specific applications.
• Support maintaining applications per project standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Corporate EPC Standard Project Setup.
• Assist in startup/setup and installation of applications; develop detailed work processes for applications.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.
