Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is offering a facilities internship in Penang under Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). You will gain hands-on experience in facility engineering, preventive maintenance, energy management, and sustainability initiatives while collaborating with facilities engineers and technical teams.

You will support daily operations, monitor building systems, and participate in maintenance programs, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
• Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
• Minimum 6 months internship period.

Responsibilities

• Support daily facilities operations and maintenance activities.
• Assist in monitoring building systems, utilities, and facility equipment performance.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of engineering reports.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
