Job summary

A technology company in Sepang, Selangor is seeking a skilled network engineer to develop and design Enterprise Network Architecture, manage incident tickets, and implement various network changes including LAN and WLAN. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences and at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly with Cisco and HP Aruba products. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are essential. Travel may be required for project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing and designing Enterprise Network Architecture including Office & Production LAN / WLAN concept.
• Manage and support Network Incident tickets – troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating network issues with users.
• Implement Network Change Requests such as for LAN, WLAN, DNS, DHCP or Firewall Rules.
• Network Monitoring of network alerts and performance.
• Manage Network Devices – perform regular maintenance checks and software updates.
• Maintain network documentation for configurations, topologies, or network procedures.
• Manage and handle TAC and WAN Provider support tickets.
• Travel required for project implementation.
• Mentor and coach other Network Team members.
• Stay up to date with technology supported by the network operations team and ensure familiarity with modern technologies that may be supported in the future.
• Participate in on‑call and shift rotation – including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or Network or Communications field, with 5 years’ related work experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco and HP Aruba products.
• Experience with Enterprise LAN Switching and Routing.
• Experience with WAN Technologies and protocols such as SD‑WAN, MPLS and routing protocols (i.e., BGP, EIGRP and OSPF).
• Good understanding of Wireless LAN networking concepts.
• Good knowledge of key areas: Firewall, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Monitoring System.
• Hands‑on experience configuring network devices (switches, wireless AP/Controller, and Firewall).
• Familiarity with network hardware and software.
• Good communication skills in English and teamwork skills.
• Strong documentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.
• High level problem‑solving and communication skills.
