A leading technology company in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for developing mechanical components and coordinating with system engineers. Job Summary
Role
1.1 Responsible for mechanical component development.
1.2 Owner of the mechanical component design with maturity within framework of BES-PE.
1.3 Contribution to innovation in platform and technology development.
Job Scope
2.1 Work with system engineer to provide mechanical solution/improvement in new/existing product.
2.2 Evaluate, verify and improve design risks and failures related to mechanical domain via FMEA, risk assessment, PSS, DFMA, etc.
2.3 Create and maintain drawings (2D & 3D) with CAD system, part lists (BOM), Technical document (PQA, tol.stack, etc).
2.4 Prepare functional cost analysis for products, analyze the gap and provide proposal.
2.5 Ensure intellectual property protection by timely filing of invention reports and patent check.
2.6 Coach Junior Engineering members in project team.
2.7 Support gearbox platform development align to business strategy.
2.8 Support and take over special tasks on as assigned by the superior.
