Engineer (Environmental, Safety and Health)
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Safety and Health) or equivalent, and at least 3 years of working experience in the related field. Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
Preferred: Entry Level/Junior Executive specialized in Environmental, Safety and Health Engineering. Working experience in a production plant is an added value.
Candidate will act as an Environmental, Safety and Health Engineer, responsible for prevention, control and remediation of safety, health and environmental hazards at the Eternal Materials Malaysia Plant.
Candidate must be passionate about engineering and demonstrate strong attributes such as attention to detail, excellent organization, and a solid foundation in the related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan or perform engineering duties in the prevention, control and remediation of safety, health and environmental hazards for the plant.
- Work closely with the Head of Department (HOD) to manage and maintain a good and acceptable standard for the safety, health and environmental management system at Eternal Materials Malaysia Plant.
- Ensure all activities in the EMM Plant comply with Malaysian legal requirements.
- Update safety, health and environment laws and regulations in the regulation registry.
- Arrange and monitor all monitoring activities to meet legal requirements.
- Provide, maintain and update procedures, SOPs, and work instructions for all work activities.
- Maintain and manage all online registrations and applications related to the Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) and the Department of Environment (DOE) reliably.
- Arrange and organize training related to safety, health and environmental issues.
- Record and investigate any accident and near‑miss cases inside the EMM Plant.
- Identify, analyze and control hazards in the workplace following guidelines.
- Set up safety, health and environmental programs for EMM employers and employees.
- Conduct safety, health and environmental inspections and audits in workplaces.
- Provide a monthly safety, health and environment report to the plant manager and present it to all departments.
- Control and keep up to date safety, health and environment documents, reports and filing systems in the office.
- Carry out other instructions by the HOD related to daily SHE section operations.
