We are a subsidiary of an Australian owned Structural Engineering firm located in Georgetown Penang, with headquarters in Perth, Australia. Our firm has a proud history in designing and engineering residential, commercial and modular buildings, supported by a team of over 35 professionals including civil, structural, and geotechnical engineers, specialist consultants, and a dedicated support team.

Qualifications & experience

• Fluently speaking and written English
• Engineering (civil) degree, TAFE qualification - Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent
• Competence in AutoCAD and BIMS & Tekla knowledge will be highly regarded
• Ability to interpret client needs and deliver engineering solutions
• Passion for structural engineering and construction industry
• Proven planning and organizational skills to deliver effective solutions
• Experience with Australian standards will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of construction methods and health and safety

Tasks & responsibilities

• Prepare structural and civil design and drawings for residential and commercial projects, including preliminary design layouts using AutoCAD to a high level of accuracy.
• Prepare design calculations and structural analysis suitable for review purposes; interpret and manage projects through accurate and efficient engineering design adhering to project timeframes and client expectations, ensuring technical work and design calculations are of a high standard.
• Organise assigned workflow with self‑initiative, working independently by planning work in an efficient cost‑effective manner. Initiate proper chain of command communications when solving problems and noting important information.
• Apply experience, engineering techniques, codes, standards, analysis calculations, specification, company procedures, sound judgment, and design criteria to conduct work.
• Assist with continuous improvement of the technical capacity of the engineering department where necessary.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by Senior and Principal Engineers and Engineering Manager.
• Maintain accurate project document records, following company procedures and ensuring all project‑related design and analysis is uploaded to the Prompt System.
• Show ongoing commitment to professional development and long‑term career growth.
