Responsibilities
  • Follow established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost.
  • For more senior positions, might be involved in developing innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost.

  • Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.
  • Analyze existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.
  • The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time .
What you will bring to the team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and Science. Preferably, candidates with degrees in Materials, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant working experience in process engineering or manufacturing.
  • Assume responsibility for all technical aspects of various machining operations, which include CNC 5-axis milling, 3-axis conventional milling, Berger grinding, expansion and closing processes, and riveting.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining programs, check-sheets, and preset plans to support the operations team.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to establish and uphold best manufacturing practices for the production of surgical instruments.
  • Create and update guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for machining processes to ensure technicians and operators have clear protocols to follow.
  • Contribute to improvement projects in collaboration with colleagues from sites in China, Poland, and Germany.
  • Perform troubleshooting to address quality issues that may arise due to equipment, personnel, tools, materials, or process deviations.
  • Lead process optimization efforts aimed at reducing scrap, cost, and waste while simultaneously enhancing quality and efficiency.
  • Carry out tasks and responsibilities as assigned by superiors, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team goals.
  • Requires a full working knowledge of a technical field. Exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts, and proposes a course of action.
