Job summary

The role requires experience or strong knowledge in energy sectors, plus strong research, stakeholder intelligence and client advisory skills. A careful, policy‑minded analyst will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy, power, utilities, oil and gas, renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or related field is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex issues.
• Interest in public policy, regulation, and Malaysia’s political economy.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse developments across Malaysia’s power, electricity, renewable energy, oil and gas, LNG, energy infrastructure, and energy transition.
• Translate technical and industry developments into clear policy and commercial implications for clients.
• Monitor Malaysian policies, regulations and government initiatives affecting energy, climate and resources sectors.
• Support development of government affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Prepare analytical memos, regulatory updates, stakeholder maps, briefings, and client deliverables.
