Job summary

A leading tech company in Penang is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer. Responsibilities include designing, coding, and testing embedded software based on specifications, troubleshooting, and participating in design reviews. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and have at least 3 years of relevant experience or be a fresh graduate with exposure to embedded programming. Proficiency in C/C++ is essential, and knowledge of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi protocols is advantageous. Candidates should be fluent in Mandarin for collaboration with a China-based team.

Job description

Understanding of design specifications and determination of design concept.

Responsible for designing, coding and testing of embedded software/ firmware based on product specifications and requirements.

Perform troubleshooting and debugging to ensure functionalities and optimize performance.

Challenge status quo to continuously improve software capabilities, approaches and processes.

Participate in design reviews to ensure quality design output.

Preparation of technical documents for project implementation and support.

Be part of product development team ensuring smooth product introduction.

To assist in other related tasks when required.

Education & Experience:

Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

At least 3 years relevant experience needed for senior position.

Fresh graduate that have exposure in embedded software/ firmware programming are welcome to apply for junior position.

Abilities & Skills:

Must possess programming language such as C and C++ Language.

Knowledge in bluetooth and wifi protocol will be an added advantage.

Sufficient knowledge of reading schematics and components' datasheets.

Able to work independently and have good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

Candidates must be able to read, speak and write in mandarin as he/she needs to work closely with China IoT Developer Service Provider.
