Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an engineer to design and develop highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission-critical markets.

You will use Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including RF simulation in ADS/CST and Digital Signal Integrity simulation in Mentor Graphics and Cadence SI tool, before releasing PCB layout Gerber files for fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Specializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage.
• Must know how to utilize RF/digital controller/audio measuring equipments, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex communication products for professional and mission-critical markets.
• Use Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including RF simulation in ADS/CST and Digital Signal Integrity in Mentor Graphics and Cadence SI tool, before PCB layout release.
• Work with a team of engineers to generate innovative ideas meeting customer requirements.

Job description

Responsible for the design & development of highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments.

Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including RF simulation in ADS/CST and Digital Signal Integrity simulation in Mentor Graphics and Cadence SI tool, prior to releasing the PCB layout Gerber for fabrication.

Work with a team of highly-qualified engineers to generate innovative ideas and design communication systems which include infrastructure, subscribers and accessories that meet customer requirements. Engineers will be working on sub-circuits that consist of RF, digital controller, power and audio circuits.

RF sub-circuits involve receivers, transmitters, VCOs, amplifiers, filters and mixers circuit; while digital and controller sub-circuits include microcontroller, logics and LCD circuits.

As for power, audio and signaling circuits, it consists of batteries, voltage regulators, audio amplifiers, filters, speakers and microphones.

Basic requirement :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Secializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage.
• Must have a basic understanding in RF/digital controller/audio related fields depending on the area of work the candidate is applying.
• Must know how to utilize RF/digital controller/audio measuring equipments, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.
• Simulation experience in ADS/PSPICE/SI tool is an added advantage
