Job summary

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad is seeking a maintenance professional to provide technical assistance during construction, installation, and repair of plant electrical equipment. The role covers ensuring optimal operation of solar PV plant equipment and executing scheduled maintenance.

The candidate should have a Diploma/Certificate or equivalent practical experience, with at least 3 years in solar PV design and O&M. Technical competence and ability to read technical specs are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate or equivalent practical experience is required.
• 3 years minimum working experience in the solar PV industry designing solar arrays and solar plant O&M.
• Technically competent and capable of understanding engineering concepts and solar plant maintenance.
• Experience reading and understanding technical specifications and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance during construction, installation, maintenance and repair of plant electrical equipment.
• Maintain the solar plant equipment’s at the optimal level and ensure the scheduled and routine maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
• Check the fault conditions of various equipment and solar PV arrays, and repair and replace damaged components and circuits as needed.
• Lay and connect the lines and clean the solar photovoltaic modules.
• Coordinate with the operation & maintenance time, carry out regular inspection and maintenance.
• Analyze the abnormal status of product functionality.
• Responsible for the documentation and management of maintenance reports.

Education

Diploma/Certificate or equivalent practical experience

Engineering degree/diploma from an accredited college or university (preferred)
