Electrical Engineer (Battery Energy Storage)

We are EV CONNECTION SDN BHD, and we are on a mission to accelerate the transition towards a smarter, greener, and more sustainable world. We are looking for young and passionate Engineers to join our team in Selangor.

In this role, you won’t just be working on technical projects, you’ll be contributing to the development of energy solutions that power communities, enable renewable integration, and drive innovation in the fast-growing clean energy sector. Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for battery energy storage and renewable energy projects.
• Design and develop BESS systems, including battery sizing, inverter selection, and control system integration.
• Support integration of BESS with solar PV, EV charging infrastructure, and other renewable technologies.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of energy storage and renewable systems.
• Analyse performance data to optimise battery and system efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in battery technologies, power electronics, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support, documentation, and expertise to stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of battery energy storage, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.
• Experience in BESS design, grid integration, or renewable projects is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates passionate about the energy storage and EV industry are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong technical and project management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools for power system / energy storage design and simulation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
