Job summary

A leading agro-food company in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical distribution systems, troubleshoot, and manage maintenance projects. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office is required. This role includes leading projects, ensuring system reliability, and supporting sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years work experience.
• Possess Suruhanjaya Tenaga competent person or Energy competent person is an added advantage.
• Good command on both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement electrical distribution systems for the facilities.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, implement electrical distribution systems for the facilities (LV/HV systems, MCCs, switchgear, transformers and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Troubleshoot, repair and improve reliability of electrical systems, including power distribution and protection devices.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance program.
• Lead electrical related projects, prepare electrical specifications, evaluate contractor proposals and oversee installations.
• Manage commissioning and testing to ensure systems meet performance, requirements and completed in timely manner.
• Monitor and analyze plant energy consumption and identify efficiency improvement opportunities. Support sustainability initiatives including renewable energy integration.
• Maintain up-to-date electrical documentations (as-built drawings).
• Ensure critical spare parts are maintained and available.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
