Job summary

Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world. A Commodity Analyst Electrical role is based in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang, and will support procurement strategies for electrical items.

You will develop technical and statistical assessments, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and drive cost savings, inventory management and risk mitigation across strategic commodities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and pricing of procurement risk strategies for Flex focusing on Electrical commodities.
• Develop a technical, statistical and fundamental assessment for each commodity.
• Manage cash negotiations and secure advantageous commercial agreements with approved suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for annual and multi-year purchase commitments.
• Coordinate selection of transportation modes and carriers to lower delivered costs and maintain supply continuity.
• Cost management, reduction and avoidance initiatives.
• Manage inventories for strategic commodities to avoid extra expense or shortages.
• Evaluate commodity risk positions and develop plans for cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.
