The EHS Department and Role

The EHS Department plays a core role in building a strong EHS culture at Dexcom Malaysia to create a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace where employees can thrive. We develop and drive the EHS Management System to minimize business risks, ensure full regulatory compliance, and promote a culture where every employee takes ownership of safety and sustainability.

The EHS Technician supports our mission by carrying out day-to-day EHS activities, providing practical support across operations, and working closely with cross-functional teams. In this role, you assist in implementing operational risk control plans, conducting routine inspection and basic risk assessments, supporting scheduled waste management activities, maintaining emergency preparedness readiness, and supporting the implementation of EHS campaigns. You also handle EHS departmental administrative tasks to ensure program efficiency and documentation completeness. As a hands-on team member, the EHS Technician helps put EHS practices into action to keep our people safe, protect the environment, and support smooth and compliant operations.

Where You Come In
  • You coordinate and support EHS campaigns, including Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health campaigns.
  • You coordinate and support Workplace Safety programs, such as generating and issuing New Contractor Orientation badges and compiling workplace inspection data.
  • You coordinate and support Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene programs, including arranging medical surveillance sessions, communicating results to employees, and coordinating industrial hygiene monitoring activities.
  • You coordinate and support Environmental programs, such as scheduling and facilitating environmental monitoring activities.
  • You coordinate and support EHS training, including arranging training sessions, reserving training rooms, and checking training attendance.
  • You manage and maintain EHS records to ensure they are properly kept, organized, and easily traceable.
  • You perform administrative tasks to support the EHS Department.
  • You track the EHS department budget and spending to support financial monitoring and planning.
What Makes You Successful
  • You have a Diploma in Science.
  • You bring 2–3 years of working experience, preferably in a related field.
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Your strong planning and coordination skills enable you to support EHS programs effectively.
