Job Summary

An EHS Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs within a company, ensuring compliance with regulations by conducting inspections, training employees on safety procedures, investigating incidents, and promoting a culture of safety to prevent workplace injuries and environmental damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Liaise with relevant parties such as DOE, DOSH, BOMBA.
  • Investigate any accident, near‑miss, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases that happened at the place of work.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within our operations.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Industry Experience: Ideally, you'll have 3 years of experience in an industrial or construction environment, but candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
  • Professional Certification: Registered Safety Officer (Green Book) certification from DOSH is MUST.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Malaysian OSH regulations, standards, and codes of practice is essential for success in this role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellence in communication, training, and interpersonal skills is crucial for effective collaboration with all levels of staff.
  • Analytical Mindset: A detail‑oriented approach, analytical thinking, and proactive problem‑solving skills are key attributes for this position.
  • Mandarin speaking: able to read & write in Mandarin is a plus.
