The impact you’ll makeAt Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
What you’ll do- Oversee EHS policy development, planning, and implementation for logistics, operations, and contractor management, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS requirements. Handle interactions with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Fire Service Department, and other relevant agencies to maintain EH&S legal and Global EHS compliance.
- Perform proactive EHS risk assessments for manufacturing and logistics, and work with stakeholders to ensure risks are addressed through effective actions and ongoing monitoring.
- Develop and conduct EHS training for employees on ergonomics, equipment safety, material storage, hazardous energy control, chemical handling, fall protection, traffic safety, safety in confined space and emergency response.
- Support logistics safety tailored to business needs by creating and enforcing comprehensive Material Handling Equipment training and certification to ensure safe operation and compliance with Lam EHS requirements.
- Conduct regular audit and inspections on contractors and logistics to confirm compliance with corporate and legal EHS requirements. Resolve findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Facilitate effective accident prevention programs, incident investigation, ensuring final closure of reported incidents.
- Coordinate and lead EHS promotional program to promote safety and strengthen the organization's safety culture.
- Establish and periodically review environmental, safety, and health procedures. Facilitate emergency preparedness and response by organizing Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and emergency drills at regular intervals.
- Coordinates monthly EHS review with stakeholders, EHS committee meetings, provide timely reports, and ensure EHS issues are resolved. Oversee EHS performance reviews to meet EHS Management System and RBA standards with stakeholder collaboration.
- Submit all required regulatory reports promptly and perform other EHS duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company EHS objectives.
Who we’re looking for- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering required
- 8-12 years of working experience in EHS field in manufacturing and warehouse.
- Experience in new start-up company, Contractors Safety, Warehouse Safety.
- Well verse with Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Controls
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to motivate, influence, coach and drive results
- Ability to apply EHS standards and regulatory knowledge to business decisions
- Ability to lead a cross-functional teams to meet EHS objectives and accident free workplace
- Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers
- Strong computer literacy skills including excel, word, power point skills.
EHS Certification- Competent Person in Scheduled Waste and registered with DOE preferred
- SHO certification registration with DOSH

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
