Job summary

The role requires a PhD in Education or related field, a strong publication record, and proven leadership in higher education. You will mentor colleagues and postgraduate students, supervise research, and contribute to governance and external partnerships.

Qualifications

• PhD in Education, Educational Leadership or a closely related discipline from a recognised university.
• Significant leadership/managerial experience in education.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching, research, and/or industry experience, preferably in higher education.
• Strong publication record with 3–5 indexed journals (ISI/Scopus Q1/Q2) in last 5 years.
• Proven ability to secure external research grants as Principal Investigator, RM75k–RM100k cumulatively.
• Scopus h-index of at least 5.
• Supervised and graduated at least two PhD students as main supervisor.
• Experience in curriculum design, teaching innovation, and pedagogical excellence.
• Mentoring and coaching of colleagues and students for academic excellence.
• Development and application of effective teaching methodologies, including digital/IT.
• Active involvement in research projects, consultancy or scholarly outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning initiatives, including curriculum innovation and programme development.
• Design, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching materials; conduct lectures, tutorials, and assessments.
• Mentor colleagues and postgraduate students in teaching strategies.
• Supervise postgraduate research and promote scholarly teaching.
• Maintain high teaching standards to meet university expectations.
• Participate in departmental, school, and faculty governance and initiatives.
• Engage with external organisations and industry to strengthen collaborations.
