Air swift is seeking an experienced Economist to support asset valuation, project economics, and commercial decision-making within the upstream oil & gas sector, with a focus on Malaysian PSC environments.

You will develop economic models, perform NPV/IRR analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to guide investment decisions. The role requires 5+ years in upstream economics and strong Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' upstream oil & gas economics, commercial, or project evaluation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian PSC fiscal regimes.
  • Experience with asset valuation, economic modelling, and investment analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop economic models and evaluate producing assets and development projects.
  • Conduct NPV, IRR, breakeven, sensitivity, and valuation analyses.
  • Apply and interpret Malaysian PSC fiscal terms, including cost recovery and profit sharing.
  • Assess investment opportunities, portfolio performance, and value enhancement initiatives.
  • Support business planning, budgeting, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate with technical, commercial, and finance teams to provide economic recommendations.

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Economist to support asset valuation, project economics, and commercial decision-making within the upstream oil & gas sector, with a focus on Malaysian PSC environments.

Key Responsibilities
