Job summary

CIMB in Malaysia is seeking an experienced ECL/IFRS 9 professional to support Group performance management and asset quality across Retail and Non-Retail portfolios.

You will help with ECL target setting, forecast execution, early warning analytics, and Exco-ready reporting, partnering with Country Finance, Group Risk and business stakeholders to deliver timely insights and robust governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, preferably with ACCA/ MICPA/ CPA/ ICAEW/ MIA.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS 9/MFRS 9 governance requirements and impairment policy.
• Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in banking/financial services with exposure to asset quality and ECL.

Responsibilities

• Support ECL target setting & forecast execution with analytics and dashboards.
• Perform early warning monitoring and portfolio diagnostics with stakeholders.
• Prepare Exco-ready monthly/quarterly ECL and asset quality packs.
• Support IFRS 9 governance, documentation and regulator/audit inquiries.
