Contribute to school leadership and management as a member of the School Improvement Team.

The Early Years Teacher (Leader) works closely with the principal to ensure the smooth functioning of the school and the delivery of high-quality education.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote an Early Years learning environment that is safe, engaging, and caring.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to deliver top‑notch care and uphold the highest standards of ethical professional conduct.
  • Connect the school's educational goals to teaching strategies that, in accordance with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum Framework, produce the best possible student learning outcomes.
  • Oversee the process for developing Schemes of Work and monitor the working standards of the teachers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the curricula to provide feedback to the Principal.
  • Support the Principal in managing the Early Years school's finances, resources, and facilities.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of information to all concerned people/channels and ensure smooth running of school.
  • Continuously evaluate existing programmes and practices, curriculum content, and piloting of experimental programmes.
  • Periodically evaluate and ensure the school’s adherence to health, safety, and civil codes.
  • Communicate with parents, community organisations, and other stakeholders to maintain positive relationships.
  • Ensure the school maintains its excellent reputation by implementing initiatives that promote sustainability, cultural diversity, and community service; maintain policies and procedures in compliance with the school’s charter.
  • Teach a minimum number of hours per week.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Knowledgeable, trained, and well‑versed in the Cambridge Early Years Framework.
  • High proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (preferably).
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the respective field, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
