Job summary

An established industry player in the oil and gas sector is seeking an experienced petrophysicist to join their team. Qualifications

Job description

Job Requirements
  • Certificate in Petroleum Engineering or Geosciences or equivalent or acceptable working experience in exploration.
  • 10 years’ experience as a petrophysicist in the oil & gas industry.
  • Experience in clastic and carbonate reservoirs.
  • Experience in petrophysical evaluation of thin-bedded reservoirs.
  • Experience with all logging types (general logs and sophisticated logs such as NMR, dielectric, image log, RT scanner), and be able to provide expert recommendations on the suitable log to meet data acquisition objectives.
  • Experience in logging, pressure testing, and fluid sampling operations, and be able to supervise/monitor throughout the operation period.
  • Be able to provide petrophysical evaluation, support, and guidance to the real-time drilling campaign and post-drilling campaign.
  • Familiar with subsurface in the offshore Malaysia area.
  • Provide input for coring programs and SCAL to vendors for calibration of log evaluation and rock properties.
  • Familiar with Geolog or Techlog software.
