Job summary

Jora Malaysia is opening a new hotel in Johor and seeks a Duty Manager to oversee daily guest-service operations and supervise the front-office team for a smooth guest experience.

The role is full-time in Johor, Malaysia, with a monthly salary of RM3,500.00–RM4,300.00, negotiable by experience. Diploma or degree in Hospitality and 3–5 years in Front Office or Guest Services are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Three to five years of Front Office or Guest Services experience.
• One to two years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee guest-service operations from arrival to departure.
• Ensure smooth check-in/check-out and front-office operations.
• Attend to VIP and special requests.
• Lead and coach front-office and guest-services staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibility

• Oversee the guest experience from arrival until departure.
• Ensure smooth check-in, check-out, front-office, concierge and lobby operations.
• Attend to VIP guests, repeat guests and special requests.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and carry out appropriate service recovery.
• Monitor guest feedback and take action to improve service standards.
• Lead, train, motivate and supervise front-office and guest-services employees.
• Prepare shift schedules, assign duties and ensure compliance with hotel procedures.
• Conduct team briefings and provide coaching to maintain service standards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Reservations and other departments.
• Ensure guest profiles, reservations, billing records and room information are accurate.
• Support the promotion and upselling of hotel services, packages and loyalty programmes.
• Prepare daily reports covering occupancy, VIP arrivals and guest-service matters.
• Monitor departmental expenses and support cost control.
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety, security and brand standards.
• Assist with employee performance reviews and recommend training requirements.
