Work you’ll do

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant in the IBM Software Asset Management (SAM) team, you will work with clients across industries to help them manage and optimize their IBM software licenses.

  • Evaluate IBM license usage and provide recommendations for optimization and compliance.
  • Interpret IBM licensing terms, bundling rules, and product use rights to prepare Effective License Position (ELP) reports.
  • Perform IBM software audits and reviews across platforms including Wintel, Linux, Red Hat, AIX, Solaris, and AS/400.
  • Extract and analyze licensing data using IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT), Flexera, or Snow, and interpret entitlement records from IBM portals.
  • Conduct IBM Software License Reviews, Audits, and provide IBM Authorized Software Provider (IASP) and IBM Client Value Acceleration (CVA) services to support clients in maintaining licensing compliance and optimizing their software investments.

Requirements

  • 3 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in IBM Software Asset Management or Licensing Compliance.
  • Proven expertise in IBM licensing models, product terms, and bundling rules.
  • Proficient in using ILMT and at least one additional tool such as Flexera or Snow.
  • Strong experience in reviewing IBM Licensing Information documents and interpreting IBM Proof of Entitlement (PoE) records.
