Job description

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Resource Management Officer and the direct supervision of the Senior Logistics Assistant, IOM Malaysia, the incumbent will drive office vehicle and provide messenger services for the Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s).

Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s) to ensure roadworthiness of the vehicles before departure. This includes daily check of tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt, fuel, etc.

Report to supervisor repair needs and ensure that the vehicles are kept clean.

Ensure that the vehicles undertake regular service intervals.

Ensure that the IOM vehicle(s) is used only for official/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor.

Maintain logbook of the vehicle and ensure trip sheet is signed by the user.

Prepare a monthly report summarizing statistics linked to mileage, fuel consumption, etc. of the vehicle.

Maintain in the vehicle emergency response and contingency equipment such as fire extinguisher, flares or reflectors, torch, etc.

Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with emergency and police procedures in case of accident, reporting immediately such incidences to supervisor.

Understand the specific vehicle operating manual and learn to operate devices in the vehicle.

Collect and deliver mail / documents as assigned in a timely manner.

Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involves IOM and its officials.

Prepare and liquidate cash advances in a timely manner in coordination with Finance.

When needed, assist the country office staff in performing simple clerical duties such as making and answering telephone calls, making photocopies, keeping records, etc.

Perform any other duties as and when assigned.

EDUCATION;

Completed Secondary [high school certificate] education.

EXPERIENCE;

Two years of working experience as Driver and Messenger.

SKILLS;

Familiarity with Kuala Lumpur city environment

Experience to drive motorcycle, car, and SUV.

Experience to working as a messenger

Attention to detail and ability to organize
