Job Summary

Coordinate the day-to-day operations of local transport strategies and plan to ensure delivery on time with minimum cost. This includes fleet utilization, route planning and vendor service commitments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support senior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.
  • Perform day-to-day works to ensure adherence and compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate transport schedule to ensure on time delivery.
  • Provide daily resources report and highlight any issues arising from shortage/surplus of resources.
  • Coordinate with transport vendors to ensure accurate and complete documentation and return of proof of delivery (POD).
  • Provide suggestions to optimize truck capacity (time, cube and weight), delivery on time and minimizing cost per unit based on data analysis.
  • Report incident of any pilferage, stock loss or other non-compliance matter to the supervisor.
  • Perform data updates and analysis using transport management system (TMS) to ensure timely reports on time performance, proof of delivery returns, issue logs and costs.
  • Analyze the transport process and provide suggestions to enhance productivity and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate customers’ inquiries, requests and complaints related to delivery, billing statements preparations and validations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with vendors, customers and suppliers for optimum delivery to customers.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum one to two years' experience in similar role.
  • Valid GDL license.
  • Diploma/certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related field.
