ELSA in Malaysia seeks an experienced SSHE Wells Lead to act as the focal point for drilling operations and to implement and continuously improve the SSHE Management System.

You will perform SIMOPS and risk assessments, coordinate SSHE planning, monitoring and assurance, and advise management on effective drilling SSHE processes and controls. A strong background in BOP systems and well control equipment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in science or engineering required.
• 12+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas.
• 7+ years with drilling, workover, or P&A operations; exploration, appraisal & development experience.
• Sarawak Work Permit is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Report to SSHE Wells Team Lead and act as focal point for drilling operations.
• Perform SIMOPS and risk assessments for critical drilling activities.
• Coordinate SSHE planning, monitoring and assurance for drilling objectives.
• Advise Drilling Management on development and implementation of drilling SSHE processes.
• Have good knowledge of drilling equipment including BOPs, accumulators, choke manifolds.
• Review SSHE, Well Control and Blowout requirements; propose amendments or controls.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills and exercises involving rigs and bases.
• Facilitate incident investigations, reports, lessons learned and corrective actions.
• Monitor key drilling SSHE focus areas and operational risks.
• Facilitate SSHE audits, rig inspections and assurance reviews.
• Coordinate SSHE activities across drilling sites and onshore bases.
