Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Sunway University is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Director – Sunway Conservatoire of Music, a premier pre-tertiary music education initiative dedicated to cultivating young musical talent. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a growing conservatoire, overseeing high-quality teaching, performance programming, and student development. The Director will play a key role in preparing students for advanced study and careers in music while fostering excellence in pedagogy and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the strategic direction and growth plan of the Conservatoire.
• Oversee curriculum design and delivery for youth and pre-college music programs.
• Ensure teaching and learning standards meet national and international benchmarks.
• Promote student progression into tertiary music programs.
• Lead academic planning, budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Mentor and supervise teaching staff, fostering professional development and pedagogical excellence.
• Manage student recruitment, admissions, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with Sunway University’s governance and quality assurance frameworks.
• Curate and oversee student performances, concerts, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
• Build partnerships with local and international music institutions, schools, and cultural organisations.
