Job Purpose

The Operation Excellence Director will lead the Operations teams within the BU towards KPI driven efficiency improvements using all industry related OEE KPIs while having a strong APQP, Lean, Six Sigma, and effective change management process, which will translate eventually to a favorable P/L performance of the BU. Foster a culture of innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities
Process and Efficiency Improvement
  • Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements across various processes (end to end) in MLA Lens and Optics manufacturing.
Equipment and Maintenance
  • Strong competency in equipment automation and predictive maintenance to drive for systematic downtime improvement while providing fast feedback towards continuous improvement.
Data Analysis
  • Conduct thorough assessment of operational processes, collect and analyze performance data, and develop data-driven recommendations for optimization utilizing smart MES systems approach.
Project Management
  • Lead cross functional project teams to drive process improvements, ensuring alignment with BU goals and integration into the business processes.
Training and Development
  • Design and execute training programs on operation excellence principles, tools and techniques, to build a culture of Kaizen (continuous improvement).
Performance Monitoring
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to track the progress and impact of operational excellence initiatives
Change Management
  • Facilitate change management process to support operational initiatives jointly with Quality, ensuring compliance while driving for improvements.
Requirements
  • Degree or Masters in an Engineering field
  • More than 10 years of experience in handling operations for multinational companies or fast-growing organizations
  • Proven experience in managing operations (preferably in MLA Lens and Optics) and implementing process improvements.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Hoshin Kanri and other continuous improvement methodologies that are crucial for success in this role.
  • Strong automation and systems MES competency.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proven exposure in managing Industrial Engineering (IE) tasks to beef up OEE KPI in production environment (process vs. layout).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and drive change within the organization.
  • Good at English in both speaking and writing.
  • Have a sense of responsibility and high communication and coordination skills, good teamwork
  • Open to relocating to Hanoi, Vietnam
