Do you see yourself as Director of Wellness and Spa (Pre-opening) at IHG?

As the Director of Wellness and Spa, you will lead the strategic development and daily operations of the hotel’s wellness offerings—including the spa, fitness center, and holistic wellbeing programs. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue, ensuring operational excellence, and promoting a culture of health and wellbeing aligned with InterContinental’s brand promise of providing a luxury experience with meaningful purpose.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement the wellness strategy in line with the hotel’s positioning and guest needs
  • Create and evolve a diverse range of spa and wellness offerings, including signature treatments and holistic experiences
  • Lead wellness innovation by staying ahead of global trends in health, beauty, and mindfulness
Operational Management
  • Oversee the daily operations of the spa, fitness, and wellness facilities to ensure exceptional service and hygiene standards
  • Ensure all equipment, facilities, and treatment rooms are in excellent condition
  • Develop and monitor SOPs for all areas of wellness and spa operations
Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives a world-class, personalized experience that reflects InterContinental’s luxury standard
  • Handle VIP requests and guest feedback with discretion and professionalism
  • Curate wellness journeys for individual guests and groups (e.g. weddings, events, corporate wellness)
Team Leadership
  • Lead, inspire, and train a team of spa therapists, fitness instructors, and support staff
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, team meetings, and wellness training sessions
  • Create a positive and professional work environment that reflects IHG’s people-first values
Financial Performance
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, revenue forecasts, and cost control
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through creative promotions, upselling, and guest engagement
  • Track KPIs such as treatment room utilization, therapist productivity, and guest satisfaction scores
Brand Standards & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with IHG’s luxury brand standards, spa hygiene, and safety regulations
  • Uphold local licensing requirements and international best practices
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Spa Management, Hospitality, or Health Sciences
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in spa and wellness operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a luxury hotel or wellness brand
  • Strong knowledge of spa therapies, fitness trends, and wellness programming
  • Experience working with wellness software, booking systems, and retail product management
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); other languages an advantage
