Job summary

A leading hotel in Malaysia is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to plan and organize the hotel's sales objectives. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Office. This role requires a proactive approach in managing sales and marketing efforts while working closely with team members to achieve targeted revenue goals.

Responsible for planning, organising and controlling the hotel's Sales & Marketing objectives. Responsible for developing maximum profitable sales to current and potential customers and achieving budgeted revenue target

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality and tourism industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Prepares and establishes Annual Sales & Marketing Plan and Budget, Forecasting and Sales Turnover.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Sales and Marketing department.
  • To be proactive in managing the sales and marketing department.
  • Maintain good and effective public relations in the marketplace.
  • Train and develop sales personnel skills in presentation, selling, follow-up and closing sales.
  • Assist the Public Relations in specific areas of work such as advertising, promotion of products and services, and market research.
  • To be continuously creative in strategic thinking to enhance and/or develop new products/packages.
