Job summary

A leading organization in Johor Bahru is seeking a Sales Manager. The role involves preparing sales plans and budgets, leading the sales team to achieve targets, and maintaining relationships with major clients. Key responsibilities include conducting sales meetings, reviewing performance, and developing new product strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and excellent interpersonal skills, capable of driving results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and establishes Annual Sales Plan and Budget, Forecasting and Sales Turnover.
  • Lead, manage and motivate sales team to achieve sales target.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Sales department.
  • Implements policies and procedures, directs the Sales department towards meeting prescribed sales target.
  • Upkeep close contact with potential clients and service personally selected major accounts.
  • Conduct Sales meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Periodically review sales performance of sales personnel.
  • Proactively manage the sales department.
  • Prepare monthly sales activity report, daily sales call report, market analysis, and special programmes reports.
  • Perform important personal sales calls and overseas sales trips.
  • Participate in sales calls with sales team to acquire new business.
  • Confers and secures agreements with airlines, major corporates, media, and trade.
  • Maintain effective public relations at marketplace.
  • Train and develop sales personnel in presentation, selling, follow up, and closing sales.
  • Assist Public Relations Department in areas like advertising, promotion of products, and market research.
  • Continuously enhance and/or develop new products/packages.
