Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; MBA is advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in process manufacturing.
- Experience in manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts and operational efficiency methods.
- Competency in resolving operational issues affecting supply and demand.
- Ability to formulate long-term business plans for Production and Engineering.
- Capability to develop novel solutions for operational efficiencies.
- Competency in trend analysis to evaluate strengths and weaknesses.
- Experience managing multiple plants and leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage operational performance of the Manufacturing Division.
- Provide leadership towards achieving the company’s mission and goals.
- Plan and direct division activities for agreed targets and standards.
- Identify and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor and report on operational issues and development plans.
- Direct department managers to accomplish manufacturing goals.
- Set and manage key performance indicators for all reports.
- Formulate and recommend manufacturing best practices.
- Maintain constructive relationships with all stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Manage operational performance of the company’s Manufacturing Division, which comprises (1) Engineering, (2) Production, (3) Operational Excellence and (4) Health, Safety & Environment.
- Provide leadership towards achievement of Company’s mission, strategy, goals and objectives with active participation in the strategic alignment of the division.
- Plan and direct the Division’s activities to achieve agreed target and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture and legislative adherence.
- Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievement within agreed formats, timescales and budgets.
- Direct and monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Set and manage key performance indicators for all direct reports to achieve objectives in relation to clients, people, processes and financial outcomes.
- Formulate and recommend manufacturing best practices that guide the organisation in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with all parties, working to maintain constructive working relationship.
Requirements
