Summary

Responsible for ensuring effective quality metrics are developed & implemented across quality groups in the HPS segment. Also responsible for management of the reliability strategy & directing execution of end-to-end product life cycle management within reliability functions (#LZ1)

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Implement the Global TQ@ Celestica HPS quality strategy in collaboration with regional & site leaders
  • Establish & monitor quality objectives & metrics, including benchmarking & trend analysis
  • Leverage best practices & mentor groups in design, manufacturing & customer, on reliability challenges. Also, work with SCM, Warranty, Legal & Finance to assess reliability risks
  • Support Celestica's QMS on certifications, customer surveys & system applications. Conduct reviews & deliver training as required
  • Drive a TQ@ Celestica âÂÂAudit Readyâ¼ culture compliant to regulatory at HPS sites
  • Analyze componentsì, assembliesì, & motor drive level reliability models for design & predictive maintenance using Monte Carlo simulations & physics of failure on electronics. Also, identify potential issues on previous generation products using Weibull growth models
  • Stay current on reliability advancements & lead DFMEAs, applying Design & Reliability principles, & electronic component de-rating calculations
  • Mentor teams on 8D methodology for effective problem solving
  • Drive planning & design of reliability tests to identify weakness in new product design
  • 10 to 12 years of leadership in quality management and/or related functions, including experience in Quality (Design, Supplier, Customer, Validation, Assurance, QMS, Reliability)
  • 5 years’ experience conducting audits, including experience of international regulations & standards & managing inspections in various countries
  • Outstanding relationship management & interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with ability to conduct complex data analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of validation principles & testing procedures
  • Knowledge of design for reliability such DFMEA, Weibull analysis, including statistics, probability & testing methods
  • Proficiency of ReliaSoft Tools (Weibull++, ALTA Pro, BlockSim) or a similar software
  • Strong knowledge on 8D methodology
Physical Demands
  • The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties of this role may include sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors/screens, sustained visual concentration on numbers/legal documents.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.

  • Master's Degree in a related field such as M.S. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Reliability Engineering, RAC(US), CQA, ASQ, or ISO/RABSQA Auditor Certification an asset, but not required
