The Role:

Mr Bakar Empire, the management behind The Kolong - JB Underground Market, the latest up and coming night market in Johor Bahru. We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Part‑Time Digital Media Producer. We need an individual passionate about capturing the unique energy, delicious food, and entrepreneurial spirit that makes The Kolong a massive success and a true hub of opportunity.

*This is NOT an actively hiring position. We are creating a talent pool of highly skilled freelancers. We will keep your portfolio and information on file and will reach out to you directly for specific paid projects whenever a need arises.

We are looking for:

• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Someone who is excited by business opportunities and can capture the energy of a growing market.
• Technical Foundation: Basic proficiency in using your own professional camera equipment, particularly with experience or interest in low‑light shooting.
• Visual Storytelling: Capture high quality photographs and short video clips (Reels/Tiktok) of the market's atmosphere.
• Post‑Production: Execute photo and video editing using entry level software (e.g. Lightroom, CapCut) to deliver content ready for immediate social media usage.
• Location/Time: Weekend evening to late night market operating hours.
• Tools: Must use and maintain your own professional grade camera, lighting and stabilization equipment.
• Portfolio: A link to samples of your visual work (food, events, or street photography are a major advantage).
