A financial services company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled professional for social media marketing, focusing on creating and managing engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The successful candidate must be fluent in English and Chinese, experienced with video editing tools, and have a strong understanding of social media strategies. This role offers an opportunity to drive engagement and grow the company's online presence.
Create, edit, and publish short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Develop engaging video hooks, storytelling, captions, and on-screen text
Stay up to date with platform trends, sounds, formats, and algorithms
Optimize videos for reach, engagement, and conversion
Manage and grow company accounts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
Plan and execute content calendars aligned with marketing goals
Write engaging captions in English and Chinese
Monitor performance metrics (views, engagement, followers, conversions)
Engage with comments and messages when needed
Analyze content performance and adjust strategies based on data
Research competitors and industry trends
Collaborate with management to align content with brand positioning and campaigns
Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) – written and spoken
Strong experience in short video creation and editing
Familiar with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube marketing strategies
Proficient with video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
Good understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization
Experience growing social media accounts organically
Basic knowledge of paid ads on TikTok / Meta / YouTube (a plus, not required)
Experience working with international or bilingual brands
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
